Add an AI chat widget to your website in 10 minutes

A practical walkthrough, with the widget running live on this page.

What you are adding

A small chat bubble in the corner of your site. Visitors ask questions in plain language; the widget answers using passages from your own indexed pages. It does not invent answers from the general internet — when your content does not cover a question, it says so.

1. Create the free account

Sign up at /register. The Starter plan needs no credit card and includes one project and up to 100 indexed pages. Creating an account starts on Starter — there is no automatic paid trial.

2. Point it at your website

In the dashboard, add your site's URL as the project source. The crawler reads your public pages and indexes their text. Content changes are picked up when you re-run the crawl — answers always reflect the indexed revision of your site.

3. Copy one script tag

The dashboard gives you a single line:

<script src="https://my-web.ai/widget.js" data-project="YOUR_PUBLIC_PROJECT_ID" async></script>

Paste it before the closing </body> tag of your site — WordPress, Shopify, a static page, anything that serves HTML. Nothing else to install.

4. That is the whole install

Reload your site and the bubble appears. Ask it something your homepage answers and watch it respond with your own content.

Try it without installing anything

This page runs the widget live against the my-web.ai demo project. Open the bubble in the corner and ask: “What does the free plan include?” or “How much does Pro cost?” — the answers come from this site's indexed content, the same way they would come from yours.

A fair note on speed: the very first answer on a topic takes a little longer while it is composed; repeated questions answer almost instantly because the exact answer is cached.

What happens to your data

Your indexed content lives in a dedicated collection for your project — never pooled, never used to train models. The detail is in the privacy policy, and the plan limits and billing facts are in the documentation.
